We’re quickly closing in on a year with Mordecai. The past eleven months have been full of so much joy! Here’s what our little guy is up to right now.

Growth 22 pounds and not sure about his length, lol.

Wearing 12 and 18 month clothes and size 4 diapers. He’s ready for “real” shoes, too!

Eating Anything and everything if it’s cut up small. He’s had salmon, tofu, eggs, steak, chicken, pasta, zucchini, tomatoes, cupcakes, and more. He especially likes strawberries.

Personality Sweet, happy, and shy.

Nicknames Decky, Deck, Dexter, and Sadie sometimes calls him Duck 😂

Sleeping He goes to bed around 7 pm and wakes up around 5 am to eat and then falls back asleep until 7 or 8 am, when he’s up for the day. He’s pretty much down to one nap unless it’s short.

New Skills Mordecai has been pulling to stand. He mostly does it in the bathtub (which gives me a heart attack) and on the dishwasher when it’s opened. He has been babbling up a storm, waving, clapping, and has a word for snacks (“nack”).

Likes Sadie, Niva, mom and dad, lift-a-flap books, being held, eating, bath time, and being outside.

Dislikes Being put down, me walking away from him, being set in his carseat, and lying still for diaper changes.

Favorite Products Where’s the Firetruck book, foaming hand sanitizer, booster seat, diapers, high chair, sort and discover drum.

Other Notes Totally random, but Mordecai has no interest in TV. When Sadie was a baby, she loved Baby Einstein (like as young as five months!) but he cried when I showed it to him, lol. He is still doing physical therapy for his shoulder and it’s going well.

He now sits at the table in a booster seat and he has four teeth and two more coming in. He loves to suck his thumb and touch anything soft like hair, Niva’s fur, or even ears.

That’s everything for Mordecai at eleven months! He’s the best little guy 🖤
