Hello! It’s been about 10 days since I last blogged. Oops! I’ve been a busy bee lately. My spring break was this past week, so I used my extra free time to get some wedding-type errands done.
Like purchasing shoes. Yep, I’m going comfy with flat sandals! I also picked up my dress. It’s definitely starting to feel real now!
Since I’ve been on spring break, I’ve also had time to go out to lunch with my mom while we run errands together! Gotta love mother-daughter bonding time. She still has no idea I took this picture ;-).
My brother and sister-in-law visited Belize on a cruise recently and brought me back the perfect souvenir…
Speaking of my brother, who remembers Jax and Moses?! Look how big Jax is now!
Spring break has also meant more time for reading! I just finished The Sharper Your Knife, the Less You Cry, have been reading The Purpose Driven Life, and just started Growing Up Duggar (Yes, I love the Duggar family).
Did you know that it’s almost officially spring?! Have I mentioned that lately (ha ha..)? Here are five ways to celebrate spring. Also, looking for a good spring-ish cookie recipe? Try these!
Alrighty, I am off to go study statistics. I have my second exam on Monday. I’m learning how to find the standard deviation of a binomial probability distribution. Well, trying to learn ;)!
Hope all is going well, girly! I’m pretty jealous of all those books you read. I need to get back on the reading train!
LOVE those shoes! So comfortable, yet cute and sparkly! Perfect for you! I cannot wait to see your dress!!! You’re going to look so beautiful!!! 🙂
I love those shoes. I think they will be perfect for your wedding dress and really seem like your style. I always cherish bonding with my parents. I don’t think I’ll ever grow tired of that.
YAY wedding planning!! I need to get on my reading, I have three books collecting dust on my desk!
Such cute shoes, and I love the Belize cup! Glad you had a wonderful break 🙂
Yay! Spring break. 🙂 How long was yours? My last class is today and then I have five weeks off. Well, five weeks to write all the essays and do all of the coursework that my professors have given me, as well as preparing for exams. But I’ll be able to have some time to rest and do fun things as well!
I really enjoy catching up on reading in my free time too. I’m currently reading “Longbourn” by Jo Baker. It’s a reimagining of Jane Austen’s “Pride & Prejudice” from the perspectives of the servants. Are you a Jane Austen fan? I love her books and the movie adaptations of them!
Congratulations on picking up your wedding dress and shoes! 🙂
P.S. Good luck with the statistics exam! I don’t envy you at all…..
I love your shoes! I think you made the right choice because you can wear them after the wedding for things like church or other people’s weddings. They look like they will match a lot of clothes.
I also love the Duggar family! It’s so weird because I obviously believe very differently politically and religiously (I’m much more liberal). I see a lot of hate they get for their lifestyle and kids, but totally respect their freedom to live like they want and think that there are a lot more things people should be concerned about than a family with 19 kids who’s just living their life. Plus I love watching the show, it is so fascinating how their home operates and how they travel. I plan to pick up that book for my vacation reading hehe!
Aww Jax is just precious! And I LOVE your sandals! What a great pick! I wore really similar ones for my wedding and loved them! 🙂
Flats are SO the way to go! I walked down the aisle in $1 Old Navy flip flops!!
Whose making the cookies for your wedding?? Are you doing your own like you did your bros???
We’re having family make all the cookies! I wish I could make them all myself. My family was like nooo you’ll stress out haha!!
Yay for choosing comfy shoes for your wedding!! I did that and it was such a relief on the day of the wedding. Also – bonus – now I get to wear my wedding shoes on normal days and it adds some real special-ness to the day. 🙂
