I’m here!

Hey there!

I am alive… just VERY busy at the moment!

Yesterday (Sunday) I moved in to my suite and it is very nice! I went to get my key and they gave me the wrong one so I had to walk across campus to get the right one and then rush to move everything in and then meet with my team. Busy times.

Jimmy and my family helped me move and it was bittersweet to say goodbye. I know i’ll see them soon enough but it doesn’t make it easy.

After dinner with the team I went to a 2 hour NCAA meeting about drugs, grades, and behaving in college. The next meeting was with our coach. He went over this week’s schedule, our weight lifting schedule, our meet schedule, and the schedule for the month of August.

After all of that info thrown at me yesterday I was (and still am) overwhelmed! I don’t really know where anything is on campus right now and one other girl has moved in my suite but hasn’t said a word to me yet-cray cray.

^ that is my bedroom! Today I have to get a concussion baseline with the team in case anyone ever gets a concussion they have a baseline of what our brain was like before we got hurt to see how severe it is. Then I have practice from 10AM-12PM (just a distance run) then lunch with the team and later on I have another practice at 4PM-6PM (hills) with an ice bath after.

Yes, I am nervous about my knee. If it hurts we have plenty of trainers on hand to help me figure this out. What ever is in God’s plan if what I want to happen so I’m just being chill about everything πŸ™‚

It has been really fun to meet new people and I’m excited to get to know everyone! I’ll keep you all updated as much as I can.

Oh yeah… foodie picture. I’m supposed to have breakfast with the team after 8AM but I was up around 6 …. Allie can’t wait that long!

You know it! Homemade granola + rice milk from my mini fridge πŸ™‚

  1. Girl I’m the same way, I could never wait until breakfast at 8 haha πŸ™‚ And your room is AWESOME!! Love how organized it is! Hopefully your suitemate will come around, maybe she’s oober shy or somethin.
Good luck at practice, you’ll do great!

  2. So excited to read about your college journey :). I’m glad you’re liking things so far even if it is overwhelming… the first month or so always is but at least you get breakfast with the team and get to meet people so soon and be close with them. Even if your suitemate still hasn’t introduced herself :(. Good luck with the knee- college coaches and trainers see injuries a lot so I’m sure they will be able to help and guide you in the right direction with it.

  3. Oh man, hope your suite-mate is just shy and not bizarre. College introduces you to some interesting folk πŸ˜€ And BUSY, holy cow! Can’t wait to hear all about your new experiences once things calm down.

  4. I love your dress in the first picture, you look really pretty! πŸ™‚ Wow, they threw on you a lot of information, thatΒ΄s for sure. But I am sure you deal with everything! Enjoy all your activities πŸ™‚

  5. I will be expecting you to blog less often…no apologies, but please let us know about that girl? I hope she comes around.
    Probably just way shy.

Continue to seek God for guidance regarding your leg!

  6. So exciting and scary!!! its funny how all the dorms look alike. You will do so wonderfully great! HAve lots and lots and lots of fun! Muah!

  7. I love everything about this post. Your roommate didn’t say hi? To you? You strike me as one of the friendliest people on Earth! What I would give to be your suite mate and stay up all night eating cupcakes and talking about dreams. Hope she comes around soon! I’m also giggling just thinking about all the cross country girls getting concussions. Um, yeah.
