Mud run

Hi there :] I just want to say thank you, sooo much to everyone who commented on my blog post yesterday about my little college ‘dilemma’. It made me so happy that so many people would give me advice and honestly care 🙂 It makes me love the blog world even more.

I will definitely take everyones advice into consideration and will let you all know what I decide 😀

Yesterday I went for a run.

Yesterday I went for a mud run!!!!

I didn’t plan on going for a mud run. It just happened!

For the first time since summer I headed (with my sister and mom) to Northmoreland Park which is about 20 minutes from my house.

It’s pretty, right?! The park has a lake and around the lake is a trail. Which happened to be muddy.

WHICH HAPPENED TO BE FUN 😀

Their were some huge puddles. So I channeled my inner Jamie and just ran straight through em like a wild wilderness girl :]

It was the perfect spring evening to run and it reminded me of this scripture.

Like a muddied spring or a polluted well 
   are the righteous who give way to the wicked. Proverbs 25:26

I was able to run about 6 miles and I just felt like I was running weird. Do you ever feel like you are running like… oddly? I had one of those days ;p

I came home famished. DINNER.

Vegetarian chili (in my peter rabbit bowl, LOL) steamed broccoli, homemade corn bread, and grape juice in a coffee mug. I drink all of my drinks in coffee mugs… 🙂

Happy Friday 🙂 I am off to walk Lola and then head off to school. Jimmy is camping this weekend so it looks like I won’t have any distractions from my homework. Besides the 10k I am running tomorrow!!!!

  1. Now I want to go run through puddles! And yes, sometimes I feel like I look like a newborn deer trying to run haha basically looking like I just figured out how to use my legs… embarrassing!

  2. I love running “like a wild wilderness girl” haha especially barefoot! 🙂 I LOVE eating on paper plates for some reason, always have liked it better than regular dishes. Good luck on your 10k, that’ll be a blast!

  3. I definitely feel like I have been running weird lately…I actually think that’s what caused my current injury. I have almost been favoring my right side a bit….and putting more pressure on my right leg if that makes sense! Than park looks gorgeous btw….I have one by my house that looks so similar to that!

  4. This post makes me miss running so much!!!! I can’t wait to finally get my knee fixed in June so I can start running again. 🙂 I do feel like I walk weirdly sometimes, haha.

  5. I have never done a mud run, although it sounds awesome. My only issue is that I’m kind of a crazy person about clean shoes so I’d probably have to run in old crummy shoes so I wouldn’t drive myself crazy getting my running shoes muddy.

    That park is absolutely beautiful!! I want to run there!!

  7. yes! i feel as if I run oddly now with a jogging stroller. I have to remind myself not to swing my non-pushing the stroller arm across my body and to stay on my toes.

  8. I can barely get myself out for a run, nevermind a mud run!! But I do think I run awkwardly and I feel like people are always staring at me at the gym…of course they could care less what i’m doing! And yet I still think they do…

  9. That’s a very pretty park!
    I LOVE mud running it is my favorite type of fun run. Sometimes I just feel like I’m in a funk when I run or I feel like I’m running like a grandma…
    I have certain cups/mugs that I always use and hide so other people don’t use them… hehe
