What have I been up to? I feel like I haven’t posted a ‘normal’ post in ages!
I have been hitting the books. Looking forward to spring break in Florida with family and my boy.

I have been swimming, still. Swimming has such a long season. I started my ‘pre-season training’ in September and I won’t be done until the end of March. My team has 2 weeks off and then starts up again for the summer. I find that mostly I think about running. I have a half marathon coming up this month!!
I have been reading my Bible and praying. Can I share some scripture?
As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:9
What else has been going on? Let me tell you!
I might transfer colleges. *Gasp*
I do love Penn State, but I am looking to go to another college that is about 30 minutes from my home. I was asked to be on their track & cross country team. The college has a ton of great programs and the campus is gorgeous.
Of course is has to cost $36,000…. of course.
The coach said that I am able to get in for $18,000 if my gpa is good and if I play the sports. This sounds awesome, right?!
$18,000 is still too much for the next 3 years. My family doesn’t get any financial aid because we make too much money.
*Sigh* I know God has a plan for me and he know’s where I will be next year. I’m not going to worry about it!
Have a great day 🙂
Hey girl! First off- GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR HALF MARATHON! You’ll beast it 🙂
And coming from a girl who’s transferred 3 times hahah make sure you check out all the other scholarship opportunities as well. For most schools there are transfer scholarships and even if you only get 500 a semester thats 100o (or 3,000 after 3 years) dollars YOU DONT HAVE TO SPEND! Every little bit counts! And I know what you mean about the financial aid- sucks.
Also in the end, go with your heart! Do what YOU want to do and what makes YOU happy! You can always take out loans and pay them off for the rest of your life baahah (like the rest of us 🙂 )
Ugh… I feel you on financial aid. I faught the government to give me some, and their report said my dad made enought o support our family and my mom would generously give me her ENTIRE salary to pay for my university…. my mom makes MORE than my dad. It made no snese the rules htey had. 😦
Everything will turn out exactly how its supposed to, hon! xoxo
Good luck on your half Allie! You are going to rock it girl. I wish I could run it with you.
I agree-I don’t get any financial aid either which stinks. I feel guilty towards the parentals you know?
Good luck with your decision regarding college transferring! I hope you get to go to the new school, it sounds great. 🙂
ugh. i hate that the people in the middle always get stuck when it comes to financial aid. but i second christin’s comment in that everything will work out like it’s supposed to. i hated the college i went to only because i lived at home, worked & went to school. i wanted to get out of the state and go away to school. but it worked out for me in the end. it was cheaper which gave me the financial freedom to move states and get a job in what i studied after graduation and i met my future husband there =) you never know what god has planned for you.
wow, lots going on!! I love that verse. Keep us posted on college switch!
I was thinking of you last weekend. We were in Pittsburgh, at a hockey game!
College decisions are tough, aren’t they? I’m sure that prayer and a lot of consideration will help lead to the right decision.
Awww, cute pic of you & your boyyyyy! 🙂
Thank you 😉
Good luck with switch and yes, truct in HIM.
