Bridal Showers = Dessert

When I think of bridal showers, I instantly think of cakes and cookies. I suppose it’s a habit? Well, all I can say was that I was pretty excited to go to a bridal shower on Saturday! My mommy, sister, and I headed out to Midland for my cousin Stephanie. Hannah and I got ready and had an impromptu photo shoot:

Hannah wanted an action shot…

Cute, huh?

Then it was a 45 minute drive past the Pittsburgh Airport, more fall scenery was viewed!

Then we arrived the the St. Anthony’s Club! (It’s really pretty!)

We had lunch! Chicken Salad + coffee and water

And then….

Dessert! It was a delicious (and I mean delicious) concoction of pretzels with butter, whipped cream, and jello!

Can’t forget the cake 🙂 (Congrats Chad and Stephanie!!)

After the bridal shower we were a bit tired. Enter Dunkin Donuts !

Yes, Hannah was posing for the picture! I had an amazing and energizing medium pumpkin coffee 🙂

Then we went shopping. Then I had THE biggest craving for peanut butter cookies. Ever. EVER!

So I made some the second I got home. . . like seriously the second I got home! (Oh yeah don’t make in a scarf…dangerous.)

Mmmmm.. peanut butter cookies with a glass of milk

Good texture? They were a little soft for my liking, but still satisfied my intense craving 🙂

Had to clean my room……

Okay.. it was really bad. That is embarassing.

After a full day of attending a shower, drinking lots of coffee, shopping, baking, cleaning, and eating, I was soo ready for bed!

Now it’s Sunday, The Lord’s day 🙂 Bible verse of the day:

I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer. Psalm 17:6

I think that this verse says God will answer me. It may not always be in our timing or what we want, but he does hear our prayers.

Today I spent the day in Cecil-it has the cutest park ever. Perfect for picnicking!

Favorite pavilion? Yup.

Discovered a caterpillar.. I realized they have weird eyes?

This is how Jim carries our picnic cooler. LOL. At least he is a gentleman and carries it for a girl! What a sweetie<33

Kinda looks like a mini version of the winding rivers in Pittsburgh. (Oh yeah, the Steelers won today)

Gotta love Cecil Park. After the park we headed to the gym then back to church before we knew it! Sundays after church always mean a trip to eat n’ park. Today I ordered the mushroom & chicken salad:

Delish. The mushrooms + chicken were marinated in balsamic vinegar.

I’ll end my post with this picture…… hehehe

Went to take a picture of my coffee… Jimmy jumped in the picture. He looks like he doesn’t have arms?!

Silly.

Tomorrow is Monday; back to school and swimming.

Cya!

  1. Great pictures! Food looks amazing, and the scenery is beautiful.

As for the Potter cookbook comment you left me…the book just came out about a month ago. I picked up the project pretty quickly, so a lot of people are still hearing that it exists. But I’ll be posting a new recipe every Thursday if you ever want to come back. Or come read anytime…I always have a lot to ramble about (as all bloggers do).

    Cheers!
