Spring

Friday Night Trail Walk

Jimmy and I took Lola for a walk on a local trail on Friday night. The day had been pretty rainy, so the trail was almost empty and we felt like we had it all to ourselves.

I brought my camera along because practicing my photography on a local trail was on my spring fun to-do list!

I totally understand why we had the whole trail to ourselves, though. When we got to the furthest point we wanted to go, it started to sprinkle. Then it began to rain. Then it started pouring.

So Jimmy, Lola, and I were clomping through this muddy trail in the pouring rain on a Friday night. Poor Lola was trying to sniff everything as we went, I was trying to protect my camera, and Jimmy was trying to hustle us girls along. It was probably a pretty funny sight 🙂

By the time we got to my truck, we were soaked! A little rain never hurt anyone and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It made for a really fun night!

Spring Fun To-Do List

Spring is in full swing and I am loving it! I created a little spring to-do list of fun things I’d like to do this season.

Go on a picnic

Jimmy and I have a wonderful little park in our neighborhood. I’d love to pack up a meal and hang out at the park one afternoon or evening!

Visit the zoo

I don’t think I’ve mentioned it here, but Jimmy is creating a zip line for the Pittsburgh Zoo! He creates some pretty cool things at work each day, and I really want to go on the zip line he’s working on once it’s done.

Paint something

I’ve been wanting to restore an old bookshelf Jimmy and I have in our living room. I’ve literally had paint all ready to go for this project for over a year. What am I doing?! I need to do this! I’d also like to paint our office.

Donate clothing

I have some clothes all ready to be donated. I just need to stop by the donation center and drop them off!

Practice photography

I’m hoping to get out on a nearby trail during golden hour and practice my nature photography. The trail near our house is so lush, and has some streams and ponds near it that I really want to capture.

What do you want to do during this season?
