Miss Laura’s Kielbasa Butter Beans Recipe

We’ve been having Bible studies at our house the past few Friday nights. For each study, everyone that attends brings a side dish or dessert. Last night, we decided to do a dinner of burgers and barbecue chicken. Our group is made up of members from our church, and one of them is Miss Laura. She’s such a special person to everyone who knows her. If I could use three words to describe her they would be gentle, warm, and gracious. I wish everyone had a Miss Laura in their life.

Back to the beans! When Miss Laura texted our group and said she would bring kielbasa butter beans, I was so excited. They’re one of those dishes that, once you’ve had it, you start to hope they show up at every cookout and fellowship meal you attend.

She arrived with the beans. Everyone feasted. I asked if I could share her recipe here on the blog and she said yes! So, without further ado, here’s the best side dish out there! Thanks for sharing, Miss Laura.

Cold Calm Homeopathic medicine

So, this morning started off really interesting. I was up at 5:30am and Jimmy informed me that Niva was outside freaking out and climbing our tree. He thought she chased a cat into our tree, so I went outside to inspect the situation. What I found was the video below. Niva chased a raccoon into our tree!! (more…)
