Popping in today to share a few random favorite things!
Life
–> Niva and I did our first therapy visit! It went really well. My heart was so full after that experience. I can’t wait to do it again. I will be sharing more soon!
–> I took the kids to the grocery store this week and the cashier said they could pick out a free treat. Sadie chose a banana and said she wanted to share it with Mordecai. I love seeing their bond grow and strengthen every day ❤️
–> Last Friday we got a few inches of snow and this Friday it was 60 degrees! Just rolling with the punches over here. The kids and I took advantage of the warm weather and went to the park, hung out in the hot tub, and took Niva on a walk!
Food
–> The kids went through a box of these snack bars in like two days.
–> All sorts of baking for my business! I’m preparing the February menu which includes red velvet cupcakes with chocolate cream cheese frosting, chocolate covered Oreos, and strawberry cupcakes with strawberry buttercream.
Reading
–> Atomic Habits has been great! I’m about 3/4 of the way through and just taking it all in. I’m excited to put it into practice.
–> Reading Outback Midwife to fuel my midwifery memoir addiction. It’s about an Australian midwife and it’s absolutely fascinating.
–> Sadie and I flew through the first Princess in Black book and she’s eager to start the next one.
–> Sadie and I fill out an entry each day in this adorable One Question a Day book for kids!

So exciting! Niva and Allie executed a successful mission!
I loved the picture of you and Sadie holding Deckys hand with him standing up!
Love ❤️ You!
Dad
🙂
Haha yes! It was amazing!! Felt like exactly what we were meant to do 😊 God is GOOD!
Deck is soooo close to walking! He loves just randomly standing up and then laughing because he is learning a new skill. It’s so cute!
Love you!
So glad to hear you enjoyed the first therapy visit. Look forward to hearing about it 🙂
Atomic Habits sounds interesting! I’ve heard a bit about it, and I read a similar book a while ago (The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg) but found it quite dry. Atomic Habits sounds more practical, I think I’d like that style more.
It was worth all the training and nerves over the test!
I think the author of Atomic Habits mentions The Power of Habit in his book, lol!! Atomic Habits has been great! I am just about done with it and it’s very practical and simple!
So proud of you and Niva! I’m glad it went well for both of you. I love all the pics – fave one is of the kids holding hands with you walking- such a special memory.
The cupcakes look BOMB as always!!
Love you!
Madre
It was such a special memory holding hands with Deck while he started to walk. My first baby helping me with my second baby ❤️
Thanks for the compliment on my cupcakes!
Love you so much!
