Happy New Year! How did you start out the first day of the year? We started out with a touch of snow, which was an exciting surprise since it is winter! I’m in the mindset of if it’s winter, it might as well snow 🤷♀️
I was at the grocery store first thing and it was gloriously empty. We were in desperate need of Jimmy and Sadie’s favorite drink: orange juice. I did that thing where I *almost* bought everything I needed except orange juice 😂
Sadie and I got back in the groove with homeschool. We took a little bit of time off around Christmas and it feels good to have school back in our days. It gives us both a sense of accomplishment and normalcy!
Other things from the weekend included bread baking. Just a classic loaf of sandwich bread!
Perfect for making BLTs.
Niva was snuggled.
Sadie napped the last of her fever away.
We got some fresh air.
And we did a bit of early decorating for Valentine’s Day 🥰

I started the year by going to a little gathering with some friends. It was on New Year’s day, casual and fun!
Hahah yes!! Starbucks and grocery shopping is my chill time! It was nice to do it without kids for once 😉

I plan to start my near with a more positive attitude – which I sometimes also struggle with. Trying to stay healthy and exercise regularly and eat well- sounds cliche, but they’re all good and important things!! 🙂
