The best kind of days start out with snuggles on the couch.
Most parks in Pittsburgh have reopened while following social distancing guidelines and man did it feel good to take Sadie to the park last night!
I think she forgot what a park even was. She kept saying “oh!” and smiling at everything.
I did something else I haven’t done in a while last night. I baked a pan of cornbread!
We all chowed on that for dinner along with barbecue chicken and vegetables.
I am very pleased to report that Sadie liked the cornbread. I wonder if she will have my level of love for cornbread as she grows up, haha.
Speaking of levels, Jimmy said I reached level 200 of motherhood because Sadie handed me a booger in the car on the way home from the park. How many levels of motherhood are there? I think us moms should come up with a scale of mom-type things that happen at each level 😉
Sadie spent a few minutes relaxing in our fire pit once we got home from the park.
In other news, I have dubbed my little box of thread as my happy box. Every time I pull out my needle and thread, I am in my happy zone. I’m currently working on a shirt for Sadie and can’t wait to see how it comes out!
I LOVE cornbread!!, especially Covered with honey or maple syrup 😜
I probably should be working on 50 projects, but I am such a procrastinator that my number is zilch… someday dad and I will finish the downstairs 1/2 bath, and our laundry room (aka “the dungeon”) I wish I had your motivation!!
Love you beautiful mama!!
Madre
Maybe I get my love of cornbread from you, mom! I love it with maple syrup or honey, too 🙂 Love you!
Boogers, fire pits, snuggles, parks, and corn bread, sounds like a good life!
Love Dad
🙂
Amen! ❤
Your box of thread is so pretty! I can see why it’s your happy box. All so colorful and cheery! 🙂
And hooray for being able to take her to the park again! Looks like she had a blast!
