I heard about this Olympian in the current 2012 games and wanted to share.
Nur Suryani Mohd Taibi is from Malaysia and is only the fourth Olympian to compete while pregnant.
She found out she was pregnant just a few days after she was told she would compete in the 2012 Games. She wasn’t worried physically about competing while pregnant, she was worried about convincing the Malaysian sporting authorities that she would be fit and safe to travel to London and to perform at her best. Nur Suryani is now 8 months pregnant. She placed 34th out of 56th in the women’s 10-meter rifle competition.
Nur Suryani took a year’s leave from her job in the Malaysian Navy. I love that she just went for it!! Here’s a quote from her: “For me nothing is impossible,” she said. “It’s one of the challenges. If I abandoned it, maybe who knows? Another four years to wait, maybe I don’t have the opportunity.”
Rock on!

Bible verse of the day:
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God — children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. John 1:12-13
Whoa, this is awesome!
