Homemade Peanut Butter

My mom brought home a $2.00 food processor from Walmart on Black Friday. I was skeptical but also excited to play with it. When the fall semester ended, I decided to try out a few recipes with the teeny-tiny food processor. I’m still working on perfecting this peanut butter but it’s pretty good ๐Ÿ˜‰

Homemade Peanut Butter

-1.5 cups peanuts (unshelled)

-1/2 teaspoon salt (if using unsalted peanuts)

-2 Tablespoons honey

-2 Tablespoons oil (I use canola)

1. Place peanuts, salt, and honey into a food processor. Process for 1 minute.

2.Scrape down the sides of the bowl and process again while slowly pouring in the oil until the mixture is creamy.

3. Process another few minutes, until desired consistency is reached.

  1. $2.00 FOOD PROCESSOR?! that is cheaaaaaap.

any kind of nut butter is amazing! ive only made almond though… or maybe it was pecan. anyway, it was a long time ago! ๐Ÿ˜€

    happy friday!

  2. That’s an awesome price for a food processor. I’ve been experimenting with mine lately because I don’t have one at school. Peanut butter and honey is one of my favorite combinations everrrr!

  3. I dream one day to make macadamia nut butter.
I guess I’m waiting to win the lotto.

That was an awesome score $2.00 food processor. Think …you can make up twice the batches of hummus..etc and wash only once!
