Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Matthew 24:35 *I love this verse! It seems like everything on Earth is always changing but God’s word will never leave us!*

I uploaded my pictures onto my computer this afternoon and all I could think was “Woah foodie post!!”
Sometimes I upload pictures and all they consist of are photos of Lola, my pool, my best friend, or Jimmy & I. Sometimes I upload pictures and they are all food. That is the reason why I don’t make this blog a specific food blog. Food is a part of my life but definitely not my whole life!
Post leg workout snack: Grilled veggie panini with mozzarella cheese and corn on the cob!
Sweet potato w/ cinnamon & ketchup. Susan got me totally hooked on sweet potatoes with cinnamon.. and any veggie with ketchup!
This is totally random. I just put together leftover peas, chopped onion, canned tomatoes, and chickpeas for some sort of chana masala stew?! The best thing about this was the spices I used: turmeric, cinnamon, cumin, and chili powder!
Roasted mushroom, garlic, and rosemary bisque
Yesterday I plopped on the couch with my devotions and ate numerous spoonfuls of peanut butter 🙂

Today I ran again!
4.6 miles (with my brace on) in 40 minutes. Yes, I am out of shape but I could care less. I went home to this…..
New protein powder & blender bottle! Yippie!
*********
Yay for doing another run! No worries that you are out of shape at least you get to run 🙂
Your mushroom garlic and rosemarry dish looks and sounds fantastic!
Somedays I have no pictures of food, and sometimes I have so many to choose from that I can’t decide what to include! It guess it depends on my mood.
I love the idea of cinnamon sweet potatoes with ketchup! I just finished eating brussel sprouts and eggplant with ketchup. It’s the wonder condiment. I keep little travel packets of it in my car just in case!
Yeah running!! Glad to hear you are able to run more often now–sounds like you are healing up well!
Mmm corn on the cob is something I have yet to have this summer.
Woop woop! So glad you got to run again! Oh my word, I have to start cutting up my sweet potatoes in discs like that, it looks so delectable! 🙂
I usually do sweet potato in the form of fries but I switched it up and it is fun 😀
oooh all your food looks so good! Have a recipe for the mushroom bisque? Yum! And ketchup doesn’t even have to be limited to veggies! It’s just good on EVERYTHING 😀 (As is cinnamon, if you ask me)
I DO have a recipe for the mushroom bisque and guess what.. it is dairy free :)! If you want I can email it to you or post it on my recipe page!
Ooo, I see it up there under recipes! It just got bumped up to the top of my to-make list, yum!
Yay for the run!!! Time does nt matter – it is how you are feeling.. glad that you are feeling well!!
Some days.. I just don’t feel like taking pictures of my food!!
As long as you feel good time doesn’t matter. I think that’s a really good speed for almost 5 miles!
I usually cut mine into fries but I love cutting them up into medallions. Doused with cinnamon is THE best.
I’ve missed you, girlie!
turmeric, cinnamon, cumin, and chili powder is one of my go-to spice combos. i love anything indian-inspired. all of those flavors are also really good on sweet potatoes. 🙂
congrats on the running! you’ll be back in top-shape in no time!
You are a running beast now. Wooo.
Great job on the run – I would say 4.6 miles in 40 minutes is not that outta shape 🙂
Excellent job on yet another run! That is a great distance and time, not out of shape if you ask me 😀
what a delicious day!
Whoop whoop! I’m so happy you are running again girl. Way to rock it out. 4.6 miles is a FEAT.
That stew creation looks hella delicious. I love me some garbanzos.
Oh! I also wanted to add that I lived in the dorms during my first year at PSU. Dorms are dorms, not too bad yet kind of blah, but one way to look at it is that you are getting part of the “college experience”! It can make for some great stories later on, if nothing else.
Yay that you can run! Even if it was slower you will build back up to running fast really quickly :). That stew looks really yummy too!

I am with you…any veggies + ketchup are reminiscent of the french fries I used to eat like they were going out of style!
I love it! “i smiled when I read I’m out of shape(which you aren’t) but I don’t care!” It’s a blessing to run fast or slow isn’t it? 🙂 You always run the race for Christ and that’s the reason I love your blog.
no spaghetti? hehe. I know you had that the other night. and congrats on another successful run!
Hmmm! I must try the sweet potatoes with cinnamon. I love sweet potatoes! I never made bisque but I always love eating it. Yours looks delicious!
I was just thinkingof picking up some protein powder. My meals tend to be garb and fat heavy… I bought protein powder would be an easy way to get some more balanced meals. Especially when I find it harder and harder to cook with the baby rolling around the house.
Woohoo on yet another run!!!
… sweet potato, cinnamon blended and made into pancakes with maple syrup ROCKS btw
OMG I NEED to try that right now!!!
It makes me so happy that you are able to get your run on now girl. How do you like that soy protein? I hated soy when i had some before but maybe it was just the brand…
Yeah about that soy protein… it isn’t so great haha. But I’m still going to use it because I want to have a vegetarian source of protein 😉
That panini looks awesome. So glad you’re running again!
I love everything with cinnamon! The SPs look so good! And the moushrooms with rosemary looks awesome as well, I must make some like that again soon! 🙂
That’s some great looking food you’ve got there! Also, congrats on the running – It is a great way to keep the energy up, that’s for sure.
