Saturday fun

Saturday was a busy day for me. It was also really fun!

What I was up to:

  • Woke up @ 5:30, had breakfast, & packed a lunch
  • Drove 50 minutes to the fabrication shop that Jimmy’s family owns
  • Worked (cleaned the toilets, etc.) from 7-12
  • Ran on a lovely trail for 7 miles while Jimmy rode a bike next to me
  • Showered and had dinner at Eat n Park
  • Went to the Pittsburgh International Auto Show
  • Headed home and watched 1.5 episodes of “Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry?”

Now it’s Sunday and I have church and not much else going on. Sweet!

Pictures from this weekend:

Early morning commute through tunnels.

Yay for cleaning toilets!

Jimmy’s dog came to work 🙂

The auto show was packed. I was feeling claustrophobic but it was still a nice time.

The Lexus LFA!!!!

What did you do on Saturday?

Eats and candy drawer

Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him. Psalm 62:1 (<— that is so true for me! Sometimes my mind just starts running but when I seek God he gives me rest.)

Onto some recent eats

This picture pretty much says one thing about me: I need a life. I saw this eggplant in the grocery store and I was like wow, that seriously looks like a nose! So I decided to give it eyes? I am a nerd.

Chicken & pear salad with blue cheese and grapes. (From Eat n’ Park)

Pumpkin raisin bread from Eat n’ Park

This is one of the many reasons I love my church! They send out “goodie boxes” to college students each semester 🙂 so comforting!

Lunch from Market District (I love when Jimmy takes me here!! Hi Jimmy!) He got a buffalo chicken wrap and I got some assorted veggies + tofu + mashed maple sweet potatoes and salmon……

The salmon had an apple jalapeno topping that was good… it tasted like root beer!

Vanilla cupcakes w/ chocolate frosting.

Taco night

Why yes, I enjoy spoonfuls of Nutella! YUUUUUUUUUM.

*******

May I introduce you to my candy stash?!

Sometimes I get stressed at school so I like to eat candy. . . I keep my stash in my truck and grab a piece when needed in between classes.

Jolly Ranchers + caramels

In the winter months when I don’t fear the candy/treats melting I have been known to keep Rolos, Butterfingers, and granola bars in my lil stash!

**********

That’s all I’ve got! I’m off to work on some homework or try hot yoga again (if my friend texts me back on whether or not she wants to go!!)

Do you have a candy stash?
