dinner

To do

Well hello there and happy Tuesday!

I am on Thanksgiving break and loving the extra free time! I went to see Breaking Dawn and had lunch by myself yesterday. It was glorious and sometimes I just love being alone.

Though I have had more free time, I also feel like I have a lot to do. So I make lists. I love crossing off things on a list, it feels amazing. I hope to cross all of the following off by this time next week!

School stuff to do

-Study Economics

-Review Rhetoric paper

-Write news writing report

*I’m kind of frustrated with news writing right now because I have to interview  five people for an article for the school paper and I contacted the five people about two weeks ago and only one person has gotten back to me. I just need to focus on the things I can do… like study for economics…… ugh.

Life stuff to do:

-Organize my room and move my summer clothes somewhere…

-Finish planning Thanksgiving dinner

-Practice bowling before Friday (I have to fill in for my sister for our church bowling league and honestly… I STINK at bowling but I love it!)

*My immediate family (minus my brother and I) is going to New York for Thanksgiving so I am going to be here in Pittsburgh cooking for Jimmy’s family. This will be quite interesting. So far the menu includes: Turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, stuffing, broccoli, rolls, apple pie, and pumpkin pie. I’m really nervous to roast a 21lb turkey all by myself :x!!!!

I took this picture on Saturday morning through my window/screen while laying in bed. I’m loving the beautiful sky every morning!

Have a great day!

Do you have ANY tips/advice for me for Thanksgiving?!

What a haircut led to

Last week my mother, sister, and I got out hair cut together.

(^ this is a picture from October but it has the 3 of us! )

Anyways, I was just sitting in the hair salon reading a magazine.

I always turn right to the cooking section of any magazine.

I found a little recipe I thought looked yummy. It reminded me of Hollie because it has black olives and I know the girl loves olives.

Yes, I do put my recipes in a binder with little slip covers 🙂

The recipe only calls for 5 ingredients! SCORE.

It. Was. So. Good.

The feta made it salty and gooey. The chicken was tender. The sauce was a tad spicy, but in a good way. The parsley added lots of flavor too! Over all it was yum and it will be making more appearances in the dinner rotation. Who knew a hair cut could lead to such a good diner?!

What new recipe have you tried and loved recently?
