It’s hard to believe…

Hello and happy Saturday! What is everyone doing today?! Jimmy and I will be looking at houses and enjoying the 50 degree weather Pittsburgh is experiencing today. Yessssss.

It’s hard to believe that Pittsburgh got hit with a big snow storm earlier this week…

Just kidding. It’s not hard to believe Pittsburgh got more snow, haha. I love sipping on coffee and watching the snow fall outside my window, though!

It’s hard to believe I finally got my hair cut…

I hadn’t had a trim since October. Yikes.

It’s hard to believe that Valentine’s Day is over…

I love Valentine’s Day! I drew Jimmy a dorky picture of cherubim and bought him a water bottle and a toy-type thing I thought he would like. He got me a leash coupler (so I can walk Brandy and Lola on one leash) and made me pumpkin corn muffins. He knows me so well!

It’s hard to believe that I ordered my wedding shower cake and wedding cupcakes…

I did some taste testing yesterday with my mom. Oh my yum. I am so excited! The wedding shower cake is going to look really cool, and Jimmy and I decided to have cupcakes instead of wedding cake because we want to offer our guests a lot of different flavors like red velvet, carrot cake, raspberry, etc.!

It’s hard to believe that February is almost over…

March is the month of Penn State’s spring break. I am so ready for a break! School has been going well, and my managing editor and I are working on putting together the February issue of the school paper this weekend. Busy times. Speaking of school, I have some homework to catch up on, so I better get going.

Have a great Saturday!

  1. Sooooo much excitement in this post!!! I think that cupcakes are a wonderful idea… because who doesn’t love cupcakes? Honestly, just looking at cupcakes makes me happy. Ha, ha. 🙂 And I think that’s so cute that Jimmy baked you muffins! It’s awesome when guys bake for their girls to show they care!! Nate has been known to make me his famous mac’n cheese, when he feels like I need a break from cooking. And I always love it! 🙂

  2. My mom’s ex-boyfriend’s daughter (lol!) had cupcakes at her wedding and it went great! You also don’t need to worry about cutting the cake, plates, forks, etc. 🙂

A man that can bake?! You are lucky, girl! My spring break is at the end of March.. it can’t come fast enough! Hope you are having a great weekend 🙂

  3. Woo hoo! Yay for cupcakes. We did a dessert buffet instead of a cake at our wedding – and red velvet cupcakes were an option. I too loved the idea of offering guests a variety. I hope you guys lots of luck looking at houses today!! Maybe you’ll find the one. That owl card is so cute!!!

  4. We had a cake at our wedding, but I really didn’t like it. It was super rich and buttery and well… just not my type of cake. Oh well. I ate a bite or so and that was it. We took most of the wedding cake to our jobs (we did not freeze any and try to eat it on our anniversary… we actually didn’t do most “traditional” things, hehe). I’m glad you’re doing a taste test and all that good stuff, I would really enjoy that!

Good luck with looking at homes. Home buying…now, *that* is really stressful. But it’s super fun looking at them and narrowing down neighborhoods.

  5. Wow, that is a lot of snow!

It sounds like you’re busy as usual. 🙂 Did you find some nice houses? Hopefully the house-buying process won’t be too stressful! Choosing a house must be a big decision.

My spring break is in three weeks’ time, starting from March 14. I can’t wait! This part of the school year is so busy, full of deadlines and papers to write. And at the end of March, my sister and her husband are having another baby (their third!). It’s good that I will be on spring break then because they already have a 3-year-old and an 18-month-old so they’ll need some help. I like spending time with my nieces; they are hard work (very busy!) but a lot of fun.

    Have a wonderful Sunday.

  6. Cupcakes are such a great idea! They will go over so well! And hooray for being so close to spring break! 🙂

  7. Ooooh cupcake tasting sounds sooooo delicious! And having cupcakes over a regular cake is a great idea for your wedding!

    Your hair is adorable =)
