The Equation

My dad and I try to keep up with our tradition of sharing the Sunday paper each week. One of us buys it and then shares it with the other. I don’t know why we started it, but it’s our special thing.

We had this text conversation last Saturday.

sunday

My dad was snuggled up on the couch with Reggie, Brandy, and the Pittsburgh Post Gazette so he sent me a picture saying the only thing missing in the equation was me.

On any given Saturday night, you can usually find a few of my family members cuddled on my parents’ couch, just hanging out and relaxing. It’s definitely something I miss about living at home!

Do you have any traditions with your family members?

Hey guys. It’s me, Lola.

I have a confession to make. I’ve ate a ton of cat litter since Malcolm joined our family. I just can’t help myself. I think it tastes so good. I also chewed a cutting board. Sometimes I just don’t know what to do with myself!

Do I look guilty?

I’m adjusting to my new brother. I’d love to snuggle with him, but he just wants to play with me. Malcolm certainly makes life interesting around here!

I enjoy fall and the cooler weather here in Pittsburgh, but I get allergies at this time of year. Ugh. I’ve been biting my paws like crazy and had to go to the vet for an ear infection. My mom gives me medicine hidden inside spoonfuls of peanut butter, so I can’t complain too much. Allergies have their perks.

Guess what I did for the first time last week!

I visited the groomer! She brushed me, gave me a bath, cleaned my ears, trimmed my nails, put a snazzy new bandana around my neck, and even spritzed me with dog perfume. It was the perfect spa day.

Alright, I better get going. My mom is going to leave for work, so I better say goodbye to her and give her a big kiss. Have a great day!
