I try to ask Jimmy about his work each and every day. He’s always welding up something interesting! He has done work for a local interior designer for a few years, so imagine my surprise when I saw that designer in Better Homes and Gardens magazine recently! Then… imagine my surprise when I learned she wrote a book! Then….. imagine my surprise when I got that book and Jimmy and I found his work in it!
He was casually like “Oh yeah, I made that staircase and cable railing.” Sadie and I were like “What!!!” haha. Then he said “I also did the outdoor space.”
What do ya know, we turned the page and caught a glimpse of railing he made for around the pool area!
He is just too cool! Anyways, here’s a link to the book. Sadie and I had so much fun flipping through it and talking about which rooms we liked and why. She is very visual and into design, so she enjoyed this!
I mentioned in a recent post that Sadie was going to an ice skating birthday party. She loved hanging out with her friend (they met at swim lessons over the summer!) and learning to ice skate! Mordecai even got to get on the ice. It didn’t surprise Jimmy and I one bit that Sadie was fearless on the ice and Mordecai wouldn’t let Jimmy set him down 🤣
I felt so useless! I would have loved to ice skate with the kids (and Jimmy would have loved to not ice skate 😂) but I didn’t think it was a good idea for me to be skating after having a baby. I got lots of snuggles with Dakota, though! Soon I’ll be back on my feet and able to do these fun activities (bowling and hot tub: I’m lookin’ at you) again! Can’t wait!!
It was warm out the day we were ice skating and it was so weird to be inside where it was colder than it was outside for once haha.
All of the sunshine we’ve had lately has us outside as much as possible! Jimmy loves washing his truck when it’s nice out. I just sat in the sunshine and watched him while holding Dakota 😂
Well, that’s all I have to share today! Except a photo of lemon feet girl 😉🍋

Better Homes and Garden! Go Jimmy! The ice skating looked like fun! Mordecai needed PapPap there to help him he would have been skating circles around everyone! Little Lemon Feet is looking so cute! Changing already!
Love ❤️You!
Dad
🙂
Agreed–he is so cool! The ice skating was great! He would have loved having you ice skate with him 🙂 We’ll have to do that (or bowling!) soon!! Love you so much!
So proud of Jimmy!! Those pics of his work are amazing!
GO Sadie – on the ice! You’ll be back to doing all the fun things very soon! It’s just a small period of time to heal and rest 🙂
Little Lemon footed girl is adorable!
My favorite thing to do is walk, and enjoy the beautiful parks in our area. Also – to take the kids to the beach and let them explore and make castles – and chase sand crabs at night!! 🙂
Love you,
Madre
