The day after Father’s Day was a great one! We started our day by walking to the beach from my parents’ house. Interesting fact: there were two ship wrecks (in 1927 and 1929) just 200 yards off the coast of the beach access on the street their house is on. It’s a popular dive site and is called Triangle Wrecks.

We spent a couple of hours playing on the beach until Mordecai was ready for his nap. I’m convinced Sadie would live on the beach if she could!

In the afternoon, us girls visited some local shops and then we all ordered pizza and went to Paradise Fun Park in Kill Devil Hills. First, Sadie and I raced Jimmy on go karts. Unsurprisingly, us girls lost 😆

Mordecai had a grand ‘ol time watching us and dancing to the music that was playing.

Sadie, my dad, and Jimmy played bumper cars next and my mom and I enjoyed watching their antics. There was lots of bumping and spinning and laughing!

We went into the arcade afterwards and Sadie won a stuffed animal from a claw machine all on her own. The stuffed bear came out and she instantly gave it to Mordecai. She loves her brother.

After all the excitement at Paradise Fun Park, the night was still young so we headed to Dowdy Park in Nags Head.

I try to rememeber to take a picture of Sadie in the same spot each time we visit and ughhhh. Can she stop growing?

We jogged a loop around the park (in sandals) and Sadie suddenly had an interest in jogging! I told her “anytime you want to run, let me know!” and the little stinker said “when we get back to the beach house, can we jog around the neighborhood?” haha. It was like 8 pm and I had to stay true to my word so we put on sneakers back at the house and jogged a half mile together around the neighborhood. I’m curious if she will continue to have an interest in running?! Time will tell!

That was our day. Beach time, go karting, playing at the park, and randomly jogging 🤣
