Hurrah! Another item crossed off of my baking bucket list!
I made homemade Oreo cookies for a church fellowship that Jimmy and I hosted on Sunday night. It was our first time hosting a church activity, and it was so much fun. We asked everyone in the church to bring their favorite dessert, and after the evening service everyone gathered to enjoy cookies, cakes, pie, coffee, and each other’s company.

The cookies were fairly simple to make, and really did taste like Oreos. After the fellowship, there were only three cookies left over! I’d say they were pretty good ;-).

those are so cute! I feel like with this weather you must have been doing a lot of baking lately.
Oh my gosh. Tim would absolutely love those. I think I might have to steal them.
I have a total weakness for Oreo’s…possibly because they are the only “naughty” cookie out there that happens to be completely dairy free. HA! However, I never buy them because I would eat the entire package. Sometimes I buy the TJ’s Joe-Joe’s because they are JUST AS GOOD, but a little better. Long story short this is my way of saying I need to make these. Great job!
Love this! You are such an amazing baker!! Homemade oreos are totally on my baking bucket list too!
I’ve made those before- sometimes they are called “whoopie pies”, lol. But I always called em homemade oreos. They’re delicious and way better than real oreos!
Those are beautiful!!!!! So fun!!!!! Now you need to make birthday cake ones! Or mint!
Those look delicious!! And yes – I’d say they were a hit if only three remained at the end of the event!
Also – sidenote – I love your dress. 🙂
Now you can start making them in all sorts of flavors like Nabisco does!
I would never ever think to make homemade Oreos! You are so creative!
Mmmmm those look SO yummy!
These look better than oreos! You should make “golden” ones next time, or double stuf 😉
They look gorgeous and I agree with P’s comment that they look better than shop-bought Oreos! I really like Oreos. There’s a cafe near where I live that bakes the most delicious Oreo brownies. 😀
So cool!! I’ve always wanted to try making them but I’m scared, lol! These look so yummy!
Congrats on hosting your first church event! It sounds like it was a success! Your homemade Oreos look delish 🙂
You are such a crazy awesome baker! Those look amazing 🙂
