Foodie + massage

I bought a Groupon for $30 hour long deep tissue massage. (I had it done last night) I have really been struggling with head aches lately so I made sure to tell the massage therapist to hit up my neck and shoulders.

I feel like a brat saying that I got a massage. I don’t usually buy myself things like clothes or massages and I don’t get my nails done so this was a special treat 🙂

A guy from my church gave me one of the last watermelons in his garden. So exciting and delish!

It had a lot of seeds but they were the kind that you can just chomp away at anyways 😉

I made a casserole!

It has: white beans, spinach, mushrooms, asparagus, bread, cheese, butter, olive oil, shallots, and garlic!

How do you treat yourself? Have you ever had a massage?

How do you get rid of headaches?

  1. Oh, watermelon! 😀 I am glad you enjoyed the massage, sometimes you just have to spoil yourself a bit 🙂 I have never had a massage, but I have think a lot about it 😀

  2. Haha you don’t sound like a brat at all… Massages are so good for you. My dad has a guest massage therapist come into his chiropractic office once a week for the patients. I’ve never had a massage but I want one… Especially for my injured shoulders!

  3. I think it’s good to pamper yourself once in awhile! I’ve never had a massage, but I’d be all over it if I found a good deal on one. 🙂 Or maybe I’ll get one this year anyway, just ’cause! Hey, we only live once! 🙂

  4. Ahhh lucky girl, such a good groupon deal! I usually take the cheaper road and get a pedicure, but like you it’s a total treat and not something I do all the time

  5. Mm, that casserole looks delish! I am weird about being touched by strangers, so I have never gotten a professional massage. I love when friends will give me head rubs, though! And my headaches are usually dehydration-related, so if I chug lots of water they will usually go away.

  6. I never tell people when I get a massage either because I usually feel like I don’t “deserve” it! I’m glad you got one and hope it helps with the headaches!

  7. I love massages, but don’t spoil myself with them very often. You did get one heck of a deal on your massage! I get headaches frequently as well, and I’ve started taking magnesium everyday. I get pregnancy headaches, sinus headaches, stress headaches, migraines. I’ve always been very prone to them. I also like making sure I’m eating a healthy diet full of vegetables, drink plenty of water, workout 5 days a week, get good sleep every night and stay stress free! If none of those work, I’ll drink a little caffiene to try to kick the headache to the curb as well as place many ice packs on my head!
