Portuguese Chicken

Hello 🙂 Have you ever been in a singing mood? My little sister and I have been practicing hardcore for out Christmas presentation at church and here is what we are singing:

There’s a Song in the Air

Who is He in Yonder Stall?

Joy to the World

Hark the Herald Angels Sing

Angels We have Heard on High

Silent Night

I’M SO EXCITED TO SING EVEN THOUGH I AM A REALLY BAD SINGER!!

I am sad about this though:

I cut a good CHUNK out of my finger while shutting the dishwasher… what a loser! Now I have a reason not to do the dishes-new found fear of the dishwasher 😉 I’ll save the gory picture of my finger and not put it on here because you might barf!

But despite my finger, I created this!

Portuguese Chicken 🙂

It is chicken seasoned with salt, pepper, &+ paprika. Then Chorizo (Spanish sausage) is sautéed with roasted red peppers, kale, mushrooms, potatoes, and onoin. Some chicken broth is added in and thickened over time. Yum!

Little sister prepped the table AND made pot holders. I wish I was as cool as her… (more on that later)

On the side was charred eggplant soup-but it was nothing special… at all!

Now onto my sister, this is a little announcement.

She is awesome, especially for a 12 year old 🙂

She knows how to make pot holders in a wide array of colors!

Hannah has been making potholders like crazy as little Christmas gifts, etc. She feels so needed (just like I do when people ask me to bake them cookies or bread!) So I want to make her feel a little more needed….

If you want a homemade pot holder (free of charge) email my little sister and ask her to make you one, and name a few colors too! [This will make her SOOOO happy!]

Her email: redeemerrams98@aim.com

Have a great day! Keep warm 😉

  1. Awe that is so adorable. I love feeling needed when people ask me to bake things. Your chicken looks delicious. I may have to email your sister about the pot holders. I had a kit to make them a long time ago and it seriously took me like five years to make one bahaha.

  2. You and your lil sis…so cute.
My neice got into those loopty pot holders too. Why dont you get her to teach you? They are absurdly fun, therapeutic and addictive.
