Meet Recap!

It was an early morning..

Hannah had warm ups at 8:30AM and I had warm ups at 1:00PM

Hi Hannah 🙂

Hello world. I wear weird warm up drag suits.

The meet was very well organized and not to mention fun. It wasn’t a HUGE meet but had anywhere from 3-9 heats of swimmers per event.

Hannah did awesome! She dropped a lot of time and won a few ribbons-Good job Han!!

I did well for my 3 races and improved all of my seed times. My times really weren’t amazing but since we were at a “B” meet, they seemed pretty good.

I’ll take it 😉 All that matters to me was that I swam and enjoyed it. Mission accomplished!

TIMES: 100 yard butterfly 1:25.75 1:17.00

100 yard freestyle 1:08.15 1:06.07

200 yard breaststroke 2:58.15 2:58.05

I placed in each race and I did especially well in the 200 breast. I actually liked it. Yup i’m a freak ;). I KNOW my times are kind of slow, especially for an 18 year old, but like I said, I’m not out there to go to the Olympics-so why stress as long as I am trying my best?

After the meet my family and I headed to Kings for dinner. I forgot to get a picture of my main dish. But I did get a funny picture ..

What can I say, I ❤ applesauce 🙂

I have a lot more pictures and info to share but I hate reading other people’s LONG posts so I’ll cut this off with a Bible Verse of the Day:

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2

Have a GREAT Sunday !!

Swim meet tomorrow morning

This time tomorrow morning (6:50AM) I will be on my way to a swim meet. It is called The Polar Bear Plunge. (Brrr!)

(YMCA State Championship @ PSU circa 2009. Yes, I am dancing.)

I got to pick most of my events but I couldn’t swim some of my favorites because I qualified for “higher” meets in those races. I will be swimming: (My seed times are wrong because I am on a new team so my coaches guessed, I hope to knock them out of the park!)

100 yard butterfly – 1:25.75 (I can get around a 1:12ish..if I try HAHA)

200 yard breaststroke – 2:58.15 (Not sure what my real time is in this?!)

100 yard freestyle – 1:08.15 (I typically get a 1:04, but I got a 59.00 once!)

We were super excited…

So there you have it. I posted some times on the internet.. oh no!! LOL. I could care less. I will post the times that I got at this meet on Saturday night or Sunday.

My goals for this swim meet:

-Beat all of my seed times, by a lot.

-Cheer my little sister on (She is swimming the 50 fly, 100 I.M., & 50 breast)

-Stay loose/stretched out

-Get homework done in my down time

-Have a good time!

Obviously I know how to have a good time 😉 Look, the news is on!!

I am ready for this meet tomorrow morning. My next meet might be in March, which is a big gap but I will have a lot of time to work on what ever I do wrong at this meet! Well I am off to start my Friday.

Bible Verse of the day:

You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance.

Psalm 32:7
