The typical 2011 post

Yup, this is it. The typical New Years Resolution post 🙂 If you just rolled your eyes when you read it, click off my blog !! Okay I have 3 general categories for my goals/resolutions of 2011: Life, Spiritual, and health + fitness.

Life

1. Don’t make fun of me but one of my goals is to dress nicer this year. I am a slob sometimes, or just plain lazy. Here are a few examples of my love for all things comfy:

Yes, in the picture on the left I AM wearing  footed pj’s…

2. Walk my dogs more.. even if it is SUPER cold!!!

I walk Lola (on the left) about 3x a week.. she needs to be walked every day because she is a chubster!

3. Get out more and do fun things 🙂 I could legit be a hermit because I love being home and hanging out in my kitchen cooking all day and reading everyone’s blogs. But I never regret going out once I actually get out :p

Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game! I am currently working on buying season tickets… if my credit card would actually work? Grr!

Spiritual

1. Have more Bible studies with my boyfriend. We have done them in the past, but sporadically. We have no trouble praying together (we do each time we are together) and talking about the Bible. We attend the same church (that’s where we met!) we just need to get on the ball with setting aside time to pop open our Bibles and read together 🙂 Jimmy said he would like to study Ecclesiastes, sounds good to me!

2. Attend more church outings. Like I said: hermit. I always have fun when I go places with my church! This winter we went Christmas caroling and delivered cookies to elderly people. I had a great time and in about a week we are going turbo tubing, which I skipped last year. My reasoning? “I don’t feel like being cold” RIDICULOUS.

Just sitting with Jimmy.. he tubed and had a grand ol’ time! That shall be me this year :)!!!!!

Health & Fitness

1. Cook lots of new recipes! Okay, I actually don’t have a problem with this… I just want to say this because I know i’ll achieve it :p haha. New recipe I tried in December:

Humming Bird Cake!

2. Do more yoga. I love this goal so far 🙂 I have done some yoga a few times in 2011 already and it feels so good! I love me some yoga, seriously I used to hate it but once I get into it I just relax 🙂

3. Complete another triathalon, half-marathon, OR complete my 1st marathon!

Finishing my 2nd Tri. I loved completing a half marathon but I had originally trained for a full marathon, hopefully I can avoid injury this time around!

That about wraps it up for me! I have a few other goals: be patient with my family (especially lil sis!!!), wash my face more (ha…), see Jimmy more (we live 45 min. away), and just chill a lot 😀

What are you goals for 2011?

Finishing Wednesday and Starting Thursday

Finishing up Wednesday: I completed some homework and got ready for church!
Hi 🙂 Remember how I finished saying “What’s not to love about Wednesdays?” on my last post?

What’s not to love about Wednesday?

Traffic is soo not to love about Wednesday. We sat in a half hour of traffic to travel two or three miles!

But I did look at the fall scenery closer.

Go Pennsylvania !

We made it to Panera Bread and my mom was quite hungry and Hannah had a lot of homework.

She was saying “cheese” or something of the sort! Speaking of food…

Asian chicken salad, an apple, and garden vegetable soup with pesto. You can also see a peek of Jimmy’s bacon turkey bravo 😉

I made Jim pink for national breast cancer awareness month.

Wednesday night Bible study was great, we were all over the New Testament talking about Baptism! (which IS necessary to be saved!) After church I figured that Lola really needed a walk. So with a little begging on my part Jimmy said he would go with us!

Thank you Jimmy!

Lola is hardly visible because her fur is black. She’s a ninja at night.

Now onto today! Daily Bible verse:

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Luke 6:36

This verse in Luke is about giving, I think about tithing. Here’s my thought: Don’t be stingy about tithing, how can God put more in your hands if they are clutched around your money that you won’t give?

So, I started off the morning right with cereal and scrambled eggs!

Then it was off to math. I got a 65% on my quiz; AKA I PASSED! Now I have some tough homework. I walked to the library..

And studied for my ethic mid-term. It is so odd having mid-terms in October! I was the first person done with my test, which makes me nervous! I guess I am a fast test taker? So I headed home and had lunch (chili, corn bread, and various junk).

Now i’m enjoying hot chocolate

Okay, must write a paper, then it’s dinner! Gnocchi or fish and baked potato? Hmmm, time and hunger will tell!

Bye!
