Mud run

Hi there :] I just want to say thank you, sooo much to everyone who commented on my blog post yesterday about my little college ‘dilemma’. It made me so happy that so many people would give me advice and honestly care 🙂 It makes me love the blog world even more.

I will definitely take everyones advice into consideration and will let you all know what I decide 😀

Yesterday I went for a run.

Yesterday I went for a mud run!!!!

I didn’t plan on going for a mud run. It just happened!

For the first time since summer I headed (with my sister and mom) to Northmoreland Park which is about 20 minutes from my house.

It’s pretty, right?! The park has a lake and around the lake is a trail. Which happened to be muddy.

WHICH HAPPENED TO BE FUN 😀

Their were some huge puddles. So I channeled my inner Jamie and just ran straight through em like a wild wilderness girl :]

It was the perfect spring evening to run and it reminded me of this scripture.

Like a muddied spring or a polluted well
are the righteous who give way to the wicked. Proverbs 25:26

I was able to run about 6 miles and I just felt like I was running weird. Do you ever feel like you are running like… oddly? I had one of those days ;p

I came home famished. DINNER.

Vegetarian chili (in my peter rabbit bowl, LOL) steamed broccoli, homemade corn bread, and grape juice in a coffee mug. I drink all of my drinks in coffee mugs… 🙂

Happy Friday 🙂 I am off to walk Lola and then head off to school. Jimmy is camping this weekend so it looks like I won’t have any distractions from my homework. Besides the 10k I am running tomorrow!!!!

Do you ever feel like you are running weirdly?

Do you eat/drink out of weird bowls/cups?

Ever go for a mud run?!

Time for..

It is finally time for the road race season, the best season of all!

Okay, I know I am a little early with this post because most 5k’s, 10ks, etc. don’t begin until spring but now is the time when the races are being posted and everyone can register! I get very excited!!

(That is my excited face, LOL)

So far I am signed up for two 10k’s and one 5k in April. I am really hoping to sign up for a half marathon in March with my boyfriends uncle! We will see!

I am particurarly excited for a 10k honoring a PA State Trooper who was killed by a drunk driver.

When I run a race, I like to know why I am running it for whom or what charity. Agreed?

I ran my first 5k last year in April and placed 1st in my age group with a time of 24:08. I got hooked after my 1st race!

I ran my second 5k the very next day. (I told ya I was hooked haha!!) My official time was 23:44

Puffy hair ball 🙂

I made my brother and sister join me in my 3rd 5k that happened in early May.

It was chilly, but we all placed and more importantly had so much fun!!! (My time was 24:24)

Then in late May my whole family ran a 5k together 🙂 Happy times.

I can’t seem to find those pictures but I will assure you it was fun!!! (My time was 23:18)

(This was a scorching 5k in a park, around 80 degrees!)

In the summer I completed a tri

In the fall I ran a half marathon with a time of 1:42.58

(I ran it with Jimmy’s uncle [not pictured] and we had soo much run running the 1st half of our half marathon together!)

My sister and I ran a Halloween costume 5k together on October 30th

The last road race of the season was Penn State’s Turkey Trot which I worked at AND ran. (BUSY DAY)

I think that is all for last season, my first season of running road races!

I had a ton of fun and truly enjoyed training for a full marathon (which I didn’t get to run due to injury) and various 5k’s!

I encourage everyone to give just one road race a try… I bet you’ll be hooked!

Have a great Tuesday 😀
