Happy eight months to Dakota Rae!

She is becoming more and more fun each day! She has her own little personality, is more than ready to be on the move, and loves trying solid food. Here’s how Kota Bear is growing and developing at eight months old 🧸

Growth 13 lb 9 oz (2nd percentile).

Wearing 6 and 9 month clothes and size 2 diapers.

Eating Mom’s milk, baby food, and soft foods cut up small. She has tried eggs, strawberries, peaches, salmon, sweet potatoes, broccoli, pasta, hot dogs, bread, and chicken—and enjoyed it all!

Personality Sweet, happy, and a little serious.

Nicknames Kota, Koko, Kota Bear, Kota B, and Dak.

Sleeping Since sleep training, she goes to bed around 7:00 or 8:00 p.m. and wakes up around 6:00 a.m. During the day, she takes two naps for about an hour each.

Looks Like Her big brother! She has blue eyes, light skin, and blonde hair.

New Skills She is crawling (in a funny way!), can pull herself to stand in her crib, feeds herself rice rusks and soft solid foods, and babbles “Da-da” and “Ma-ma!”

Likes Her siblings, being outside, moving, bath time, eating, music, toys, books, our pets, sucking her fingers, trying to drink from her sippy cup, and being held.

Dislikes Me walking away from her and being laid down for naps.

Favorite Products Diaper pail, teething toy, Lollipop baby monitor, Bumbo floor seat, Sing & Snuggle Violet, Bamba peanut butter suns, Rice Rusks, crib, car seat mirror, wash cloths, and silicone spoons.

Other Notes Dakota has one tooth (on the bottom) and another one coming in next to it, recently had another ear infection, then caught hand, foot, and mouth disease, and is going to her eye specialist to check her vision due to her eyelid hemangioma this week.
