Winter questions

Winter question # 1 Can dogs paws get cold in the winter on a walk?

It has been in the 20’s or below here in Pittsburgh and I don’t know if it is safe for little Lola to be out walking! She seems okay, but I don’t want to be hurting her. What are your thoughts?

I suppose dogs are made to be able to withstand the weather but I know a pit bull isn’t the same as a huskie. Hmmmm.

She seem’s fine, right?!

Speaking of walks… my sister thinks she can walk our cat.

Our cat bit her and I think she deserved to be bit ! (Shhh don’t tell Hannah I said that!)

Winter question #2

Well it isn’t particularly a winter question (had to play off of my title though!) but what is your favorite way to get rid of a head ache?

I have been having them lately and especially this morning. I slept very hard and woke up with a terrible head ache. Ugh! Help!

 

Well I better get my day started, it includes classes, swim practice, meat loaf, and homework.

  1. I think she is big enough to be fine in the snow and cold. We put a jacket and little boots (so cute!) on my chi-weeney but thats because she doesnt even weigh 10 lbs. Our big dogs are fine when it snows. They love it!
    I never really do anything about headaches as far as medicine. Mine are usually from being dehydrated so drinking a lot of water helps. Also, for some reason mint gum helps me! No idea why. Maybe my brain likes spearmint fumes. 😉

  2. Oh and your cat is adorable. Im trying to teach mine to walk on a leash too! It um, hasnt exactly worked yet. 😉

      1. Yep! A calico one that lives inside and then outside we have an orange one and 3 black cats 🙂

  3. When I get headaches I usually will have a cup of hot hearbal tea or some water and just lay/sit with my eyes shut for a few minutes! Usuallly does the trick! I hope the headaches go away girl! As for the dog question, no clue… I don’t have any pets!

  4. I’ve read its better for doggie paws to go on multiple short walks in extreme cold, and to wait in extreme heat for the evening. They sell silly booties for them to wear, but most dogs I know won’t tolerate any of that! 😉

  5. I think your dog will be fine as long as he’s not out in the cold too long. 🙂 I had a large dog growing up and he’d come sliding with us. But if he sat in the cold too long, his paws would go numb so we’d actually have to carry him back. So sad, right?? After that happened one time, we never let him come sliding with us if it was too cold out and we instead just took him on short walks. He was always fine when we did that…
