Running

Q&A

I have been meaning to do a Q&A for …. for like forever! I have received some questions so here are the answers!

What are your thoughts on tithing?

It is absolutely necessary!

So, tell us about what you are studying and hope to do after college. 🙂

I am studying English with an emphasis on creative writing. I hope to write a book after college.

Do you have a favourite type of music?

Not really.. I enjoy country, rock, rap, etc. all the same.

A most hated food?

Cantaloupe is the only thing that comes to mind right now.

A person you most admire?

Jesus Christ!

What’s your favorite run to do and waht distance? Trail? Street? 5K? Ultra-Marathon dreams? 🙂

I really like road races and I enjoy running on trails. My favorite distance race is the 1/2 marathon. I was going to do an ultra in June 2011 but my cross country coach said no.

How long did you swim for, Why’d you stop and what events did you swim? How easy was your swimming to running transition?

I swam competitevly from 8th grade-freshman year of college. The 100 and 200 breast stroke were my best events as well as the 500 free and 200 free. I stopped because the college I am transferring to doesn’t have a swim team. My transition from swimming to running has been fairly swell with a few injuries along the way.

What’s your favorite wild animal?

Whales.

What is your dream home and where would it be?

This is such a tough question. I guess a fairly large log cabin looking home would be nice. I would like it to be in Georgia, Hawaii, or Texas.

What would you bring on a deserted island?

FOOOOOOOOD & friends! And my Bible 🙂

What does your room look like?

It is lime green with a desk, book shelf, dresser, and bunk beds for me and my sister.

What is your favorite breakfast?

Granola w/ soy milk, an apple with cinnamon raisin peanut butter, coffee, and grape juice.

What is your favorite thing to do on a lazy day?

Read, walk my dog, and drink obscene amounts of coffee.

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

Mint chocolate chip, coffee, pumpkin, or chocolate chip cookie dough!

Thank you to everyone who commented on my last post concerning the stress about being able to go to college on a scholarship with an injury. I was actually able to run outside [5.7 miles!] on Friday (with my brace on) I brought my phone with me and read comments as they were coming to my email-yeah I had tears in my eyes because I love everyone & all the rockin comments I got 🙂

Can I teach you how to make delish iced coffee? I can? Okay, good.

Easy iced coffee

* 1 cup of coffee brewed and refrigerated in a to-go mug

*1 chilled glass filled with ice

* 1/2 cup milk (I use soy!)

*1 & 1/2 Tbs vanilla coffee syrup

Directions: Chill the coffee in the refrigerator for 3 hours. After 3 hours, fill your chilled glass with ice. Pour the vanilla syrup into the glass, followed by the milk, and then the coffee. Stir with a straw and enjoy!

Stir her up and enjoy!!
