Birthday

Birthday blessings

Thursday was my birthday. I turned 20. Weird.

Anyways, I had such a fun birthday/weekend!

My dad was out of town (for work) on my birthday so my mom, sister, and I went out to lunch, got coffee, and went shopping. I had to teach spinning that night, but Jimmy and his brother came out to my house (totally surprised me!) and enjoyed cake with my family. My momma made carrot cake and we also picked up an ice cream cake. It’s hard to explain how much I love carrot cake.

Jimmy got me the two best birthday gifts ever. A cactus and coloring supplies!! So what did I do? I drew him a thank you cactus card…On Saturday Jimmy took me out to dinner. He’s too sweet :). We went to a fancy Italian restaurant and we felt totally out of place but really enjoyed the food! I also received a special hand-made birthday card from one of my favorite blogging friends!Thank you, Laura!

My birthday was really special, I felt so blessed to be surrounded by all of the people in my life that I love the most!

How was your weekend?!

He liked it

Jim was totally surprised and liked the cake… and the taste!I know some people were wondering how I did this cake. The bun is two yellow cakes, frosted. The meat patty is a brownie and the condiments are fondant. The sesame seeds are sprinkles 🙂

Carrot-ginger soup. Such a good combo. I’ll be posting the recipe soon enough 😉

In other news: Today Jim turns 21 and we are going out with his family to their local Korean restaurant. This restaurant is delish. Jim and I used to be addicted when we were first dating. I love how Korean food clears the sinuses!

I am going to start running today. (Probably 6 miles) I’ll let ya’ll know how I feel and hopefully remember to update my Daily Mile for Hollie, LOLZ.

I plan on taking tomorrow off of running and then on Saturday I’ll legit start my cross country’s program of running 7 days a week :/ nervous muchhhh.
