Homemade baked beans! They were really easy to make and my family enjoyed them.
Anyways. I figured I would give a little college update. I start in August [as most people in college do…] and I’ll admit, i’m nervous! I have fears. So I thought i’d share my ridiculous thoughts with everyone..and how I think positively through the fears.
My transfer student fears:
1.What if no one likes me or people think i’m weird? Okay, I already know that i’m weird. I think I’ll make friends pretty quickly because I like to listen to what people have to say and I’m a generally caring person. I have blogging buddies so I must not be THAT unlikeable 😉
2. What if my roommate is a psycho killer? Has anyone seen the previews for the movie The Roommate? CREEPY.
3.What if I can’t keep up with the school work? I transferred to an academically prestigious high school for my junior year and made it out alive through hard work. I can do it!
4.What if I really miss my family, friends, and cute boyfriend? Jim and I already live 45 minutes from each other and we have made it work for over 2 & 1/2 years. My family will only be about 30 minutes away, not so bad!
My sister and I are close okay?! (circa 2008!)
5. How will I balance sports AND school work? I have done sports and gone to school my whole life, why the heck would I worry? People who play sports tend to get better grades too 🙂
6. What if I can’t find vegetarian food? The cafeteria is pretty large and has tons of options, I think i’ll be just fine!
7. What if I hate it? Then I’m quitting and going to culinary school. Not kidding.
I wouldn’t mind baking all morning, every morning if college doesn’t work out.. just sayin’ 😉

On the running front: I did 7.2 miles this morning in 1:03. It was hot out and I left around 7:15AM. I need to leave earlier to beat the heat!

What were your fears going into college/a new job/new situation? How did you combat your fears?
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
