A warm Saturday!

Well the morning wasn’t too warm. It was 43 degrees which is good for October in Pittsburgh! But it was quite chilly for a morning run. Quite chilly. I did about 7 miles. I hadn’t run outdoors in a few weeks but it felt good to hit the road! Bible verse of the day:

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

This verse is soo important! Everyone needs a little help from time to time 🙂

So I made it through swim practice last night, but just barely. I was sore from weight lifting the other day and I was lagging-but I got through! I came home to Jimmy, so I cooked him a Franks Red Hot burger! We had potatoes on the side and our favorite steamed asparagus.

Ain’t he the cutest?! (Sorry for the mess… I did clean it today!)

Before I fell asleep last night I finally got to bake like I wanted to the whole week! Woo! So, so happy. I made pumpkin muffins. Very yummy. I have a picture of an egg here because I have become infatuated with egg lands best eggs. They really, really are the best eggs. They taste so much better. I promise they are worth the extra 40 cents or what ever!

My brother brushed his teeth in the kitchen? He <3’s the penguins!

So today I actually had to bake a cake. Plus I made butternut squash soup. This soup only has 5 ingredients! (Plus salt, pepper, and olive oil)

1 Butternut squash

1 potato

1 onion

1 quart of chicken stock

1 cup of milk

Your roast em all together…

Then boil them in the broth and blend them until smooth. I made my soup chunky today!

And dipped bread in it<3

Then it was onto the pineapple upside down cake for my Jimmy’s dads birthday today! (too bad I cant give it to him because I have to babysit tonight 😡 bleh)

Butter, brown sugar, pineapple, and cherries.

Pour the cake batter on top and bake…. then for the big flip……..

Wahooo, my second pineapple upside down cake ever!

Brother kept me company…. by texting… (Again sorry for the mess!)

I walked the doggies afterwards! I love Eddie and Lola when they don’t poop on walks! They were good today plus it was sunny and warm; perfect.

Eddies fur is napppyyyy

Jimmy and I went to the Pittsburgh Mills Mall and hung out for a while. I got a delicious chai tea latte! Then we it up sheetz (I looove sheetz!) I got a bbq chicken sandwich. (He got a super spicy chicken wrap)

Well I must be off to…

Babysit 3 children … until 1 or 2 AM

Wish me luck, I will need it.

Bye!

  1. Oh girl that cake looks really good. I’m glad you found my blog, I look for other swimmers but haven’t been too successful ha. 🙂

I swim the 1000 and the mile. I often get thrown into the 500 but certainly not my favorite ha. 🙂
